Autumn at the Lake

Red fall leaves near Lake Michigan.

The trees turn brilliant shades of yellow, orange and red
during the Autumn months at the Lake.

It’s beautiful but quiet near the lake during the fall and winter months.
By now all summer visitors have packed up and gone home to their jobs in
other parts of Michigan, Illinois and Ohio, leaving the local farmers
and countryside in peace.

Turkeys can always be found near the Lake in the fall.
These ones are preparing for Thanksgiving.

A freighter (also known as a “laker”) passing close by the shore in
the cold fall waters of Lake Michigan.
